Urban Regenerations

Urban Regeneration presents 8 projects from Miralles Tagliabue EMBT studio, four of them carried out by Enric, with the later four being based upon and inspired by his ongoing legacy. The exhibition exemplifies the social and financial value of working with the city´s existing material conditions and social spaces. Providing space for the continued celebration of cultural heritage while endeavouring to adopt a sustainable and circular approach to urban design, in a time of increasingly rapid and volatile urban change.

Exhibited projects included Colors’ Park in Mollet del Vallès, renovations in the PERI district, Santa Caterina Market, and competitions in the German port area of Osthafen, Frankfurt, Bremerhaven, and Bremen, all conducted under Enric´s direct supervision. With a further selection of projects conducted post Enric’s death (developed after 2000) including the reconfiguration of the port area of HafenCity, the competition for the redevelopment of Seoul’s business district, and the two large urban squares, each component of future transport networks across Paris and Naples.
