99+ Imaginaries is a public exhibition, platform, and invitation from the Fundació Enric Miralles to think about the future of the city, a vital component of modern Barcelona’s the DNA. The exhibition takes the form of a collective table in the form of +, framing the drawings within a space for relaxed debate, conversation, and discussion. An additional drawing table will allow visitors to sit down, think, reflect, and draw, contributing to this growing repository of new visions for the city.

Porosity is a symposium that brings together a diversity of voices to discuss phenomena of permeation and lightness in their fields. This is an invitation to take part in a research dialogue that uncovers new scales of understanding related to architecture, speculative design, critical thinking, art, and performance. Guest speakers will present core aspects of their porous research, their navigation of fluids through apparently solid structures, and their negotiations with gravity and constraint.

Weaving Memories is an architectural exhibition that shows, through a delicate selection of material from the archive of the Enric Miralles Foundation, the projects carried out by Enric Miralles and his partner Benedetta Tagliabue during their years at the head of their architectural studio EMBT Architects. The exhibition presents objects and stories related to emblematic projects, inviting viewers to enter the universe of sketches, models, designs, and thoughts of Enric and Benedetta.

Miralles a l’Escola presents Enric Miralles’ academic work as a teacher, both in Barcelona and abroad. A crucial facet of his architecture and practice, which whilst seminal to the architect’s foundational legacy and international influence has been until now poorly documented. The ecxhibtiion covers the numerous stages of Miralles’ academic career, across a European and global scale.

Homo Urbanus celebrates the The Fundació Enric Miralles inaugural contribution to Loop Festival Barcelona, celebrating and exhibiting the work of “Homo Urbanus. A city-matographic odyssey”, by the video artist duo Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine. In Homo Urbanus, Bêka & Lemoine explore the multiple facets of the human body concerning urban territory, revealing to what extent our bodies are the expression of the constant friction of social, cultural, and political issues.

Photos & Collages is a public exhibition and retrospective a part of the MIRALLES tribute, operating throughout gallery spaces and schools across Barcelona in 2021. Photos & Collages At the Center d’Arts, Santa Mònica presents the legacy of Enric Miralles as a mediator between photography and collage, through both personal work and the poetics in his own creative process.

In 2014 Fundació Enric Miralles and the stage manager Alex Ollé contributed a series of architectural interventions to Barcelona’s Tricentenari celebrations. During which some of the most iconic public spaces in Barcelona were transformed through a set of seven artistic and architectural installations, each reflecting on concepts such as identity, freedom, and democracy.

The constructed space of the city is a solid geometric environment that guidelines our everyday lives. When the element of water is out of its designed vessel it becomes free, and its fluidity cannot be controlled nor can it be measured. By releasing it from the restrictions of its container, it fascinates us by revealing the natural patterns evolving out of its unimaginable fluid structure.

In collaboration with the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS) the Urban Picnic 2013 workshop takes place. The goal is to condition space and give shape to the elements that compose it, using natural materials and traditional techniques in innovative ways. We want to retrieve the value of handcraft to enlarge the vision when it comes to creating.
