SMART TERRITORIES, HEALING ENVIRONMENTS

Since 2007, “Visiting Universities Mexico” in Barcelona has offered to generate research and design proposals for the city during the month of June.
The offices of the Fundació Enric Miralles, located in the Old City of Barcelona next to the Ramblas, offer an opportunity to study in a professional and collaborative environment that allows you to share experiences with other international students.

The program investigates the territory and urban systems, as well as the economy and ecology of the Barcelona seafront.
The Research and Design Workshop explores the “Platform Zoo” as a strategic development site to propose to Barcelona Regional.

The Seminar on Urban Systems will analyze the parameters that determine the maritime front and the actors that define it.
The study trip to London will allow you to contrast with territories that also have a waterfront and will give you the opportunity to learn about alternative research and design processes through visits to the Architectural Association School of Architecture and offices such as Zaha Hadid Architects and Ove Arup among others.

The program is designed for students of architecture, urban design and related areas from the 4th semester onwards and even professionals who have already graduated and who will be interested in having experience and knowledge of what is being done internationally.

The program will analyze the continuous transformation in the 22@ district that promotes non-polluting industrial activities based on Talent, Innovation and Creativity (ICT); it will study the interventions that have been carried out as part of the triple helix model (city council, company and universities); and will review its changing regulations to propose projects based on sustainable environments for health, circular economy, effective waste management, C2C, silver economy, etc.

The work site may be the Zoo platform.
