A Look at the Work of Enric Miralles
Case study: Grand Paris Clichy-Montfermeil 2017
October 8th – December 18th 2015
The aim of the course was to give the knowledge and tools necessary for the students to be able to carry out a project of urban scale from the beginning to the end. Site analysis (economic and urban social cultural aspects), study of reference projects (mainly Enric Miralles but also other architects and in different cities), infrastructure, networks, energy efficiency, developing conceptual tools and practical design tools, specific computer programs.
The students ended up creating their own proposals for the “2017 Grand Paris Suburbs Clichy-Montfermeil” incorporating theoretical issues on urban planning and the development of creative design.
