Design of an itinerant pavilion using recycled and sustainable materials
The two-week workshop program aims to study architectural forms based on an itinerant pavilion that meets the needs of its environment and has Kálida Sant Pau project as a starting point and as a reference at all times.
The research process will be developed through different materials and techniques and will culminate with the construction of models and / or a prototype, collective work of the students.
Students will work to create sustainable solutions to the current situation, taking as reference an existing building located in an emblematic point of the city of Barcelona, the Sant Pau hospital.
The use of innovative and sustainable construction techniques is the starting point to learn to work with recycled materials, discovering their characteristics and handling in a simple and reproducible way.
