Rethink the environment of the Sagrada Familia by studying the example of the reordering of the Santa Caterina neighborhood in Barcelona.
The objective of the two-week workshop program is the study of future changes around the well-known Sagrada Familia, taking as reference the case of Urban Regeneration of the Santa Caterina Market.
The research and development process will be carried out applying the work methodology of the EMBT study, using different materials and techniques and will culminate with the construction of models and / or a prototype, work collective of the students.
Students will work to find the right solution for this emblematic point of the city, trying to understand Antoni Gaudí’s way of doing architecture and taking as reference the special way of working of Enric Miralles.
The use of innovative construction techniques are the starting point to learn to work with specific materials, discovering their characteristics and manipulation of them in a simple and reproducible way.
