The Unfinished Masterpiece and Unrealized Dream: Jørn Utzon’s Sidney Opera House and its Chinese inspiration.
In 1966, Utzon and his team were forced to resign from their position of the Sydney Opera House project. None of their left proposals has been realized today.
Utzon refused to publish these proposals, while he was still alive. This lecture focuses on the design and design intention of Utzon’s Opera House and his aesthetic inspiration and confirmation received from Chinese building culture.
