‘Better City, Better Life’ explores the spectacular renovation of the Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona (1997-2005) and the unique design and execution of the Spanish Pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Shanghai (2010) by the Miralles Tagliabue EMBT studio.
Both projects show how architects can use digital technology to produce complex shapes and structures in clearly different urban and cultural contexts.
What welcomes this exhibition is the perfect combination of digital design and traditional craftsmanship, resulting in two memorable and modern architectural structures.
